Conrad celebrating 34 years of teaching

Jeff Conrad will be celebrating 34 years of teaching with an open house at Lakeland High School cafeteria, June 11th 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  

Conrad began teaching at Lakeland after graduating from DeKalb High School in 1976 and Purdue University in 1980. Teaching Ag for 30 years and acting as Internship Coordinator for the past 4 years.

Conrad stated, “I liked taking those kids who had a tendency to fall through the cracks and giving them a purpose. It has been an interesting ride throughout the years.” When asked how he could get some kids to do what he wanted Conrad said, “I just asked.”

Gifts if given are requested to be in the form of a contribution directed to the FFA in the form of a scholarship in Conrad’s name to be given to a future senior.
