Concord boys drub Westview

 

A strong second half allowed Concord to put away Westview, 52-38 in varsity boys basketball action last Friday night at McCuen Gym in Dunlap.

A trio of three-pointers by Franko House sparked a 22-14 run in the third quarter by the Minutemen, turning a 15-14 lead into a 37-28 advantage heading into the final frame. Filip Servatka then notched seven points in the last stanza to help Concord secure its 19th win in 20 decisions.

House finished the contest with 17 points and Servatka wound up with 15 to pace the Minutemen attack.

Jordyn Bontrager tallied 15 points to lead the Warriors, 12 of them coming on four, three-point buckets. The 5-10 junior also recorded team-bests in assists (five) and rebounds (four).

Chandler Aspy chipped in 10 markers and three helpers to the Westview ledger.

The 18-3 Warriors are scheduled to meet Bremen in the first round of the sectional Tuesday night in Emma.
