COA to receive increase in state money

Cheri Perkins, director of the LaGrange County Council on Aging, told commissioners Monday morning that she has been informed the local agency will receive a 43 percent increase in state funding for 2013.

During 2012, the agency will receive $256,000 and in 2013 the state will provide $296,000 for the COA transportation project. “This will go a long way in closing the loop on our 2013 budget,” Perkins stated.
