Circuit Court news

 

The following people recently appeared before Judge J. Scott VanDerbeck in the LaGrange Circuit Court:

Joshua L. Miller, convicted of Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor, was sentenced to 1 year in the LaGrange County Jail, all but 50 days suspended, 315 days probation, and $168 in fines and court costs.

Jacob D. Oury, convicted of Possession of Alcohol by a Minor, a Class C Misdemeanor, Ct. I, and Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class B Misdemeanor, Ct. II, was sentenced to 30 days in the LaGrange County Jail for Ct. I,  suspended, and eight days for Ct. II, credit for time served, 90 days probation, 16 hours community service, and $191 in fines and court costs.

Charles R. Krontz, convicted of Conversion, a Class A Misdemeanor, was sentenced to six months in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, three months probation, 32 hours community service, and $191 in fines and court costs.

Kayla D. Wallace, convicted of Maintaining a Common Nuisance, a Class D Felony, Ct. I, and Possession of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor, Ct. II, was sentenced to 1½ years with the Dept. of Correction for Ct. I, 15 months suspended, and six months for Ct. II, three months suspended, 1 year probation, and $216 in fines and court costs.

Jayden W. Christner, convicted of Dealing in Marijuana, a Class C Felony, was sentenced to four years in the LaGrange County Jail, one year suspended, one year probation, 24 hours community service, and $169 in fines and court costs.

Daniel R. Moshier, convicted of Conversion, a Class A Misdemeanor, was sentenced to 1 year in the LaGrange County Jail, all but 118 days suspended and credit for time served, six months probation consecutive to Elkhart County Probation, $659.10 in restitution and $167 in fines and court costs.

Henry Love, convicted of Theft, a Class D Felony, was sentenced to 1½ years in the LaGrange County Jail, one year suspended, one year probation, and $191 in fines and court costs.

Anthony J. BrandenBerger, convicted of Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor, was sentenced to one year in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, one year probation, 60 hours community service, and $191 in fines and court costs.

Austin Huffman, convicted of Possession of Methamphetamines, a Class D Felony, was sentenced to three years in the LaGrange County Jail, two years suspended, two years probation, and $168 in fines and court costs.

Kelsey M. Summers, convicted of Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class B Misdemeanor, but withholds Judgment of Conviction, was sentenced to 180 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, 180 days probation, 32 hours community service, and $191 in fine and court costs.

 

 

 

 

Jaycyn T. Shultz, convicted of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, a Class C Felony, was sentenced to eight years with Dept. of Correction, four years suspended, four years probation, 72 hours community service, and $266 in fines and court costs.

Blake E. Gayton-Begley, convicted of Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor, but withholds adjudication of conviction, was sentenced to one year in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, one year probation, and $168 in fines and court costs.

Essie Johnson, convicted of Possession of Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor, was sentenced to one year in the LaGrange County Jail, all but 45 days suspended, sentence may be served on home monitoring, nine months probation, and $291 in fines and court costs of.

Kassandra L. Coney, convicted of Assisting a Criminal, a Class A Misdemeanor, was sentenced to one year in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, one year probation, 32 hours community service, and $191 in fines and court costs.

Merlin John Miller, convicted of Illegal Possession of Alcohol by a Minor, a Class C Misdemeanor, was sentenced to 30 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, six months probation, 24 hours community service, and $168 in fines and court costs.

Derk A. Sargent, convicted of two counts of Battery, each a Class B misdemeanor, was sentenced to time served in the LaGrange County Jail and $191 in fines and court costs.

Myron Mullet, convicted of Illegal Possession of Alcohol, a Class C Misdemeanor, but withholds the Judgment of Conviction, was sentenced to 30 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, six months probation, 24 hours community service, and $168 in fines and court costs.

Kristen R. Stryker, convicted of Public Intoxication, a Class B Misdemeanor, was sentenced to 30 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, six months probation, 24 hours community service, and $191 in fines and court costs.

Seth M. Book, convicted of Visiting a Common Nuisance, a Class B Misdemeanor, was sentenced to 180 days in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, 180 days probation, and $168 in fines and court costs.

Alford C. Lackey Jr., convicted of Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor, was sentenced to one year in the LaGrange County Jail, all but four days suspended, 361 days probation, and $168 in fines and court costs.

Ashley J. Barr, convicted of Possession of Paraphernalia, a Class A Misdemeanor, was sentenced to one year in the LaGrange County Jail, all but six days suspended, 359 days probation, and $168 in fines and court costs.

Terry J. Godfrey, convicted of Intimidation, a Class A Misdemeanor, was sentenced to one year in the LaGrange County Jail, suspended, six months probation, and $167 in fines and court costs.
