Churubusco scored 11 unanswered runs in its final two at bats to roar past Lakeland, 11-5 in NECC baseball play Tuesday evening in LaGrange.
The Lakers had built up a 5-0 lead through four frames. William Kelly plated two of the markers with a double. Nick Byler drove in one with a double, while both Morgan Moore and Austin Keckler whacked RBI singles.
Churubusco erased the Lakeland lead with a six-run fifth inning, knocking out Laker starter Jalen Priestley in the process. The Eagles tacked on five more markers in the seventh off reliever Alex Pearson.
Brett Simmons was the winning hurler for Churubusco.
