Christine Maxwell, 76, Kendallville, Ind., died Thursday, November 28, 2013, at her residence.
She was born January 11, 1937, in Knott County, Ky., to Pearl and Edna (Owen) Fuller.
She had worked as a cook at Blaising’s Restaurant in Rome City.
She was married December 24, 1991, in Kendallville, to Owen “Slim” Maxwell. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Bertha Tavey, Nevada; three grandchildren, Tina (Chapin Wentz) Weber, Ft. Wayne, Ind., Mike Tavey, Nevada, and Mary A. Tavey, Nevada; her mother, Edna Fuller, Rome City; two brothers, Otis (Janet) Fuller, Burr Oak, Mich., and Raymond Fuller, Wolcottville; and five sisters, Edith (Jack Kime) Coney, Ligonier, Ind., Linda (Dale) Caywood, Wolcottville, Janette (Elmer) Lucas, Rome City, Vedra (John) Martin, Avilla, Ind., and Betty (Jim) Brown, Rome City.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pearl Fuller, four brothers, Leander Fuller, Sammy J. Fuller, Willie Fuller, and Ernest Fuller, and one sister, Dora Mullins.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 2, at Young Family Funeral Home Kendallville Chapel.
Burial is in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.
