Christian Acadamy swamps Howe

The Howe School varsity boys basketball team ran into a tall and talented Traders’ Point Christian Academy squad in Indianapolis Saturday night and were sent home with a 57-37 loss.

Traders’ Point, which featured a front line of 7-0, 6-9 and 6-8, raced to a 21-0 lead over the Wildcats after one period. A 17-6 run by the hosts in the third quarter ballooned the difference to 34 (51-17).

Alex Olah led the winners with 16 points. Mislav Brzaja and Cody Young chipped in 11 and 10 tallies, respectively.

Arnas Zabarauskas tossed in 22 points to pace the 2-2 Wildcats. Issak Renatas grabbed six rebounds and blocked four shots.

Howe will now take a month-long break for the holidays before returning to the court Friday, January 13 at home against Howardsville Christian.
