Cheryl Louise Boyd, 80, Ontario, died Saturday, January 12, 2013 at her residence.
She was born December 26, 1932, in New Brunswick, N.J., to Frank C. and Velma N. (Chase) Mirgain.
She was a retired teacher who started student teaching in North Dakota and after moving to Indiana taught at Brushy Prairie, Orland, Brighton and Lima-Brighton schools. She was a member of the Indiana Retired Teachers Association, NEA, and Ontario Congregational Church.
She was married May 15, 1959, in Orland, to Howard R. (Pete) Boyd. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Russ and Lori Boyd, Howe, and Jeff and Jamie Boyd, Howe; two daughters and one son-in-law, Cathi and Raul Martinez, LaGrange, and Linda Rietz, Port Huron, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, Molly and Carlos Jasso, Amanda and Jared Myers, Matthew Boyd, Michael and Brooke Richardson, Carly Boyd,Christina Rietz, Raul Martinez Jr., Taylor Bowdish, Tyrah Bowdish, and Luke Martinez; four great-grandchildren, Olivia Jasso, Kailen Myers, Hannah Jasso, and Avery Myers; one sister and brother-in-law, Judi and Rollie Myers; and one brother and sister-in-law, William and Raetta Mirgain.
Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 16, at Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange with Pastor Glen Jackson officiating.
Burial will be in Ontario Cemetery, Howe.
