Central Noble Invitational track meet results

A sweep of the weight-throwing events by Westview’s Chandler Aspy, and wins by Warrior teammate Trey Kennedy in the pole vault and Prairie Heights’ Zach Shepard in the 110-meter hurdles highlighted the LaGrange County effort at the 28th annual Central Noble Invitational held last Friday night in Albion.

Aspy grabbed the discus blue ribbon with a toss of 140-6 feet. He later outdistanced the field in the shot put with a heave of 45-10.25 feet.

Kennedy secured the pole vault title with a height of 14-0 feet. Shepard won the 110-meter hurdle finale with a time of 15.2 seconds.

Mitch Perkins of Prairie Heights collected runner-up finishes in both the 1600-meter (4:36.4) and 3200-meter (10:06.8) runs. Westview’s Braden Reynolds placed second in the 800 meters (2:06.0).

Churubusco easily won the team championship with a score of 171.5 points. West Noble was second with 137.5.
