Carol Kay Omans, 67, Wolcottville, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at her residence.
She was born October 4, 1945, in LaGrange, to Ralph Guy and Dorothy Alice (Champion) Ballinger.
Living all her life in LaGrange County, she worked at Syndicate for 21 years and Pent for 10 years. She was also a caregiver for many different people in the area. She was a member of Green Chapel Church in Wolcottville and was part of the Secret Sister Organization at the church.
She was married June 2, 1969, in Bay City, Mich., to William R. Omans. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1992.
Surviving are four daughters, Lori Zimmer, Middlebury, Mary Brumbaugh, Sturgis, Mich., Debra Campbell, Wolcottville, and Rosemary DeCamp, Wolcottville; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Eva Ballinger, Wolcottville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Christine Omans, and one brother, LeRoy Ballinger.
Visitation is 2-6 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, at Green Chapel Church in Wolcottville.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, October 18, at Green Chapel Church in Wolcottville with Pastor Mel Heiniger officiating.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.
