Westview won two relays and finished seventh overall in the Carmon Cripe Relays held Saturday at Northridge.
The Lady Warrior foursome of Kathryn Lovell, Jeannie Bontrager, Taryn Pruitt and Grace Hales took first prize in the 800-meter relay with a time of 1:51.13. The trio of Tori Wisler, Julia Wright and Jen Hostetler joined forces to win the high jump relay with a combined height of 14-3. Wisler’s mark of 5-1 also garnered her individual honors in the high jump.
The Westview long jump triad of Hales, Bontrager and Pruitt placed second with a distance of 47-1 feet. Hales was the top individual in the event, sailing a length of 16-4.
Lakeland freshman Kloee Fitch grabbed second in the shot put (35-9.75) and third in the discus (112-6).
Penn took home the girls team championship with 85.5 points. Fairfield was second with 51.
A runner-up finish in the pole vault relay led Westview in Saturday’s Carmon Cripe Relays boys track meet held at Northridge.
The Warrior trio of Trey Kennedy, Arthur Kohler and Nic Yoder combined to vault a height of 34-6 feet to place second to Penn (40-6). Kennedy cleared 13-6 to pace the Westview pack.
Bucky Carpenter produced the top long jump in the boys meet. The Warrior ace sailed a distance of 22-7 feet to clip runner-up Tim Deal of Penn by 4.5 inches.
Westview wound up with 37 points in the meet. Penn took first with 107 and Northridge second with 86.
