Calvin J. Weaver, 69, Shipshewana, died Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at his residence.
He was born June 5, 1943, in LaGrange, to Jonas J. and Edna (Troyer) Weaver.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and worked in area factories and then did woodworking out of his residence.
He was married May 6, 1965, in Topeka, to Mary L. Yoder. She survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Sue (LeRoy) Bontrager, Bremen, Ind., Marlene (Vernon) Yoder, Topeka, Loretta (Earl) Yoder, Millersburg, Esther (John) Lehman, Shipshewana, and Mary (Rudy) Chupp, Shipshewana; four sons, Jonas (Dawna) Weaver, Shipshewana, Wilbur (Ida) Weaver, Shipshewana, Ray (Rose) Weaver, Middlebury, and Calvin Jr. (Ruth) Weaver, Shipshewana; 44 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; six sisters, Helen (Ray) Hochstetler, Topeka, Lydia (Harvey) Borntrager, Goshen, Ella (Ervin) Yoder, LaGrange, Edna Bontrager, LaGrange, and Susie (David) Wengerd, LaGrange, and Esther (Howard) Miller, Ligonier; two brothers, Harry (Mary) Weaver, Topeka, and Harley (Ella) Weaver, Dalton, Wisc.; and two brothers-in-law, Elva (Martha) Miller, Ligonier, and Daniel Jacobs, Kendallville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Anna Jacobs and Elsie Miller.
Visitation is after 1 p.m. Thursday, August 9, and all day Friday, August 10, at the family residence, 5635N 450W in Shipshewana.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 11, at the Delbert Stutzman residence, 5720N 450W in Shipshewana, with Bishop LaVern Raber and home ministers officiating.
Burial will be in Scott-Seybert Cemetery, Shipshewana.
