The LaGrange County BZA approved a developmental standard variance for Devon Hostetler of 0915E 200S, LaGrange. The application was for two greenhouses set back 33 ft. and 66 ft. from the centerline of the road. The standard is 80 ft. set back.
Hostetler noted that the greenhouses would be to grow strawberries and tomatoes.
Andrew and Rosanna Yoder of 7230W 250N, Shipshewana, had a side yard setback of 2 ft. for a new garage approved. The standard in an A-1 zone is 10 ft. The garage will be built on the east property line of the lot.
Tom Stone had a request for two side yard setbacks of 4 ft. approved for a new residence to be located on Lot 18 Shell’s 2nd Addition to Oak Shade Resort, Wolcottville. The standard setback is 10 ft. in an L-1 zone with sewer.
