Busco stuns Westview Girls

Churubusco stunned Westview, 50-46 in NECC girls basketball action this past Saturday in Turtle Town.

Haleigh Gross tossed in 18 points and Chandler Blake netted 17 for the Lady Eagles, who led at the three period stops by counts of 12-11, 24-20 and 38-35.

Amber Roth fired in a career-high 16 points, made three steals and dealt out a couple of assists to pace the Lady Warriors, who dropped to 0-2 in the NECC and to 1-6 overall with the setback. Skyler Carpenter chipped in 12 points, six rebounds and three steals to the Westview cause. Brooke Yoder tallied 10 markers, Brooke Schwartz nabbed seven rebounds and Jeslyn Zimmerly collected three assists and two swipes.
