Building trades class learns about energy efficiency

Students in the Four County Area Vocational Cooperative Building Trades class recently had the opportunity to learn from Energy Expert Bob Geswein of Harrison REMC.

He presented information about energy efficient building science and common sense techniques builders can use to help homeowners save energy. Geswein has a wealth of knowledge and extensive experience with various aspects of construction, from heating and cooling equipment to understanding the building code.

“While saving energy and money are important to new homeowners, being comfortable in their homes is more important,” Geswein stated.

The presentation was hosted by the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives of Northeast Indiana as well as LaGrange County, Steuben County, and Noble County REMCs.
