Book signing for local Civil War history book

Margaret Hobson is a family historian and former mathematics teacher.

Those two interests are combined in this work, a labor of love for the past 20 years.  Hobson’s relative, Lewis Griffith, served in Company A. She grew up and still lives in Northern Indiana.

Hobson has written a second volume about the Iron Men of the 44th which is titled The Voice of Indiana's 44th Regiment, Part 2.

She will be in the community room of the LaGrange County Library on Spring St. from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Dec. 14, to sign copies of her new book. This event is co-sponsored by the LaGrange County Library and the LaGrange County Genealogical Society.

Anyone who cannot attend the book signing but would like to purchase a book can contact Barb Mulholland at 260-854-4311 or any member of the LaGrange County Genealogical Society.
