Betty Jean Garvin, 76, Westler Lake near Wolcottville, died Monday, March 25, 2013.
She was born July 1, 1937, in Yoder, Kan., to Sam and Mary (Yoder) Petersheim.
She was a life member of the Rome City American Legion Post 381 Ladies Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles in Kendallville, and the Messiah Lutheran Church in Wolcottville.
She was married July 21, 1955 to Glen Slabach. She was married December 17, 1983 to Jack Garvin. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2004.
Surviving are three children, Dean Slabach, Syracuse, Ind., Tammy (Tom) Janes, Ligonier, Ind., and Douglas (Dianne) Slabach, Goshen; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four siblings, Edna (Paul) Wallace, Cletus (Muriel) Peterson, and Arlene (Keith) Julien, all of Goshen, and Earl (Lucy) Petersheim, Bristol, IN.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Marie Sylvester.
Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 29, at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier.
Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery, Goshen, Ind.
