Tarrin Beachy fired a no-hitter in sparking Westview to a 5-1 varsity baseball victory over visiting Goshen Saturday morning.
Beachy struckout eight and walked three in his mound gem. Goshen’s run was unearned and came in the fourth inning on a fielder’s choice. The marker tied the game at 1-all.
The Warrior offense immediately broke the tie with three runs in their half of the fourth. Two walks, a couple of Redskin errors, a single by Damon Miller and a sacrifice fly by Jamar Weaver plated the trio of tallies.
Westview padded its lead with a run in the sixth. Brant Yoder singled to lead off the frame, then advanced to third on a Judah Zickafoose double. Weaver then launched another sacrifice fly to right that brought home Yoder.
Weaver also had a hit in the contest, as did Austin Schlabach and Luke Miller.
The triumph improved Westview to 10-6 overall.
