Audrie Walter

Audrie Marie (Trenary) Walter, 83, Big Long Lake, died Friday, August 1, 2015.

    Born and raised in rural St. Joe where she lived until 1969 when she and her husband and family moved to the Big Long Lake area, she was involved in two of her husband’s businesses for many years. She and her husband were long-time members of Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church in rural Butler before moving to the Big Long Lake area. They then became members of South Milford Church of Christ.

    Surviving are three children, Joseph (Patricia) Walter, Teresa Walter, and Jeremy (Stephanie) Walter, all of Big Long Lake; five grandchildren, Sheila Wyss, Ashley, Ind., Angela Hamman, Ashley, Ind., Jennifer Walter, Grays Lake, Ill., and Alicia and Breanna Walter, both of Big Long Lake; three great-grandchildren, Selena Meredith, Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Taylor and Brock Wyss, both of Ashley, Ind.; three stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; four sisters, Doris Matherly, Elkhart, Ind., Ruth Fetters, Ligonier, Ind., Alice Yarde, Garrett, Ind., and Mary (Jordan) Boughman, Butler, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Elijah Walter, four brothers, and two sisters.

    Funeral service was held Wednesday, August 5, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Waterloo, Ind., with Reverend Chris Mosley officiating.

    Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn, Ind.
