Arthur F. Redfern, 68, LaGrange, died Friday, April 27, 2012 at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
He was born March 9, 1944, in Island, Ky., to Walter E. Sr. and Mary P. (Green) Redfern.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving from June 12, 1963 to April 22, 1969. He was a carpet installer most of his life and had worked at Quality Floors in Topeka until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of the New Life Fellowship Church in Topeka and competed in American Legion and Moose pool tournaments.
Surviving are two brothers, Walter E. Jr. and Janice Redfern, Livermore, Ky., and Kenneth L. and Philis Redfern, Delquan, Wisc.; and two stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy J. Gray and Shirley A. Tooley.
Visitation is 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Muster Funeral Homes Livermore Chapel in Livermore, Ky.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, at Muster Funeral Homes Livermore Chapel in Livermore, Ky., with Reverend Jim Nelson officiating.
Burial with military honors by the McLean County Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post #5415 will be in Island Community Cemetery, McLean County, Ky.
