During a Wednesday morning traffic stop, deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff Department were informed that a man with an outstanding warrant for possession of meth was at an apartment on CR 200N in Shipshewana.
Officers went to the apartment and were allowed in by the homeowner’s mother, according to the police report. Officers located Harmon Jones Jr. hiding in a closet in his son’s bedroom.
Jones was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, officers reportedly found a plastic bag containing a white, powdery substance in the bedroom.
Officers were given consent to search the residence and reportedly found a small amount of marijuana along with what is believed to be several other controlled substances.
The substances were sent to the Indiana State Police Laboratory for identification prior to charges being filed, the report noted
