Local author Mara McBain recently published McCade’s Way, a novel of romance and survival set late in the Great Depression.
The book follows the trials of Genevieve Kelly, a woman on her own in New York City. When a local priest informs her of a man in Virginia who is looking for a wife, she decides to take her chances, eschewing true love in favor of food and shelter. McCade’s Way is now in print, available in soft cover as well as E-book formats.
McBain is one of Wynwidyn Press’ best-selling authors, whose other work includes the Trinity Falls series of dramatic motorcycle novels. Her next book, Southern Eden, will be released this coming September.
