Arc of LaGrange County gives annual awards

 

The Arc of LaGrange County handed out awards at its annual Christmas program and meeting last week at the Town Center in Shipshewana.

Linda Newman was honored with the Most Improved Worker Award.

Krystal Gaernter was awarded for having the Highest Production Increase.

The Arc gave Longevity Awards to: Orva Mishler, 30 years; Viola Broadbeck and Debra McCreary, 25 years; Jill Slater, 20 years; Sarah Hochstetler, Eric Piper, Sharon Yoder and Yolanda Yoder, 10 years; and Richard Brooks and Ryan Eaton for 5 years.

Outstanding attendance awards were given to: Polly Bontrager, Sam Bontrager, Viola Broadbeck, Katie Eash, Patty Gray, Dustin Gromala, Tim Kauffman, Terri Jordon, Katie Miller, Mary Miller, Rebecca Miller, Sue Ellen Raber, Ray Sharp, Todd Shorter, Jill Slater, Andrew Springer and Cindy Treece.

Perfect attendance awards went to: John Dunkel, Krystal Gaertner, Jeff Hill, Daniel Hochstetler, Deb McCreary, Steve Olejniczak, James Oliver, Billy Page, Wayne Platt, Mary Jo Prudlow, Janice Searfoss, Leslie Sheley, Esther Whetstone, and Olen Yoder.

Safe Worker awards went to: Todd Shorter, Sue Ellen Raber, Julie Moore and Steve Olejniczak.

Mary Miller was given the Biggest Loser award for losing the most weight this year.

Tim Yoder was given the inaugural Random Acts of Kindness award.

Employees of the month were: Sharon Yoder, Yolanda Yoder, Brandi Lehr, James Oliver, Karla Rowan, Andrew Springer, Leslie Sheley, Dustin Gromala, Christina Miller, Linda Newman, Krystal Gaertner, and Deb McCreary.

Staff with perfect attendance for the past year were: Ron Hatfield, Steve McKee, Debra Seman, Floyd Prisock, Ida Hochstetler, and Vickie Carter-Stanford.

Staff honored for years of service were: Ida Hochstetler for 20 years; Vickie Carter-Standofrd and Ruthann Bontrager for 5 years.

Safe driving awards were given to Ron O’Brien and Phylis Hyland.

Social Club officers recognized were: Ryan Eaton, President; Joy Abelgore, Vice President; Mary Ward, Secretary; and Julie Moore, Treasurer.

Dustin Gromola and Polly Bontrager were recognized for their participation in the Sunshine Club.
