Annual chamber golf classic September 13

The 15th Annual LaGrange County Chamber Golf Classic will be held at Heron Creek on
Friday, Sept. 13, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The tournament gives players a chance to hit the links with clients and associates, showcase their business, network with some of the area’s finest business people, and support the LaGrange County of Commerce at the same time.

This year there is even more excitement as LaGrange County Dodge will award a two-year lease of a new Dodge Dart to anyone that makes a hole-in-one on Hole 12.

Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and continues until the shotgun start at 9 a.m. As soon as teams are finished with the 18-hole event, there will be steak dinners waiting at the clubhouse Patio. During the dinner, awards will be presented for Men’s and Women’s Longest Drive and Men’s and Women’s Closest to the Pin as well as the announcement of the first place team. At approximately 2:30 p.m., the 5th Annual Golf Ball Drop will take place on a special hole near the clubhouse. Five hundred numbered balls will be dropped from a helicopter sponsored by Lord’s Seed. If someone’s ball goes in the hole they will win $1,000. Second and third place as well as furthest from the hole will also be awarded a cash prize.

Registration fee for a four player team and includes greens fees and cart, two beverage tickets, a steak dinner, and the team Par Perk Package. The numbered golf balls are $10 each.
