Brian Cochran gave county commissioners a report on happenings at the animal sanctuary during the second quarter of 2012.
He noted there have been 77 citizen complaints, mostly of dogs running at large. There have been nine dog bite cases and one horse bite, according to his report.
He noted that inmates from the county jail are performing duties at the sanctuary. “It is our goal to get the sanctuary to a total volunteer work force,” he said.
Cochran noted that currently there is a two for one program in effect for cat adoptions.
