Angola, ranked No. 1 in Class 3A, rolled past host Lakeland, 70-40 in NECC girls basketball Saturday.
Claire Grubb tossed in 18 points to lead the 6-0 Lady Hornets, who raced to a 26-5 edge after one quarter. Chipping in 16 markers apiece to the winning ledger were Rachel Rinehart and Ericka Rinehart.
Abi Thompson led the Lady Laker attack with 11 points. Thompson also collected six rebounds and one assist.
Becca Levitz totaled 10 points and three assists for Lakeland, now 1-2 in league play and 1-4 overall. Morgan Meyers fired in eight points.
