Amos Bontrager

Amos LaVern Bontrager, 49, Goshen, died Friday, January 30, 2015 at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

    He was born February 8, 1965, in LaGrange, to Ervin and Edna (Schlabach) Bontrager.

    He had worked at Keystone RV and was the owner/operator of A.L. Enterprises. He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church. 

    He was married September 24, 1986, in LaGrange County, to Millie Bontrager. She survives.

    Also surviving are his parents,  Ervin and Edna Bontrager, Topeka; seven daughters, Lydia S. (Mark) Mullett, Millersburg, Amy J. (Nathan) Lehman, Goshen, Amanda K. (Matthew) Miller, Millersburg, Mary E. (Vernon) Miller, Millersburg, Carol A. Bontrager, Sarah J. Bontrager and Marlene R. Bontrager, all at home; one son, Nelson L. Bontrager, at home; two grandchildren, Joshua L. Mullett and Amber R. Lehman; three sisters, Elsa M. (Ernest) Bontrager, Topeka, Ruby F. (Gary) Yoder, Howe, and Mary R. (Edwin Ray) Miller, Lincoln, Ark.; and one brother, Jerry L. (LeAnna) Bontrager, Topeka.

    He was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin Jr. and Cletus R. Bontrager.

    Funeral service was held Monday, February 2, at Maynard Yoder's Superior Hardwood in Goshen with Bishop Ernest Schrock and home ministers officiating.

    Burial is in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
