Alta M. Hershberger, 95, Middlebury, died Monday, January 6, 2014 at Miller’s Merry Manor of LaGrange.
She was born November 4, 1918, in Hopedale, Ill., to Simon and Martha (Martin) Egli.
She was the owner-operator of Cripe Abstract Company in Goshen for 15 years. She was a member of Marion Mennonite Church in Shipshewana and wrote religious manuscripts.
She was married February 21, 1975 to Kenton K. Hershberger. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1995.
Surviving are two sons, Jim (Sunny) Ingold, Goshen, Ind., and Philip (Donna) Ingold, Middlebury; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Marietta (Lester) Sutter, Ferndale, Wash.; and one brother, Orville (Marian) Egli, Hopedale, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Linnea Sue Ingold, one sister, Lorene McCoy, and three brothers, Roy, Ralph and Leo Egli.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 11, at Marion Mennonite Church in Shipshewana with Pastor Ron Roth officiating.
Burial will be in Clinton Brick Cemetery, Goshen.
