Accident leads to arrest on multiple charges

Shortly after 2 a.m. on March 6, deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the vicinity of 375 East SR 120 regarding an accident.

    According to the police report, a vehicle had slid off the roadway in that area. When officers arrived at the scene, Terry Boggs, 22, of CR 600N admitted he was the driver of the crashed vehicle and allegedly tested positive for alcohol. While being taken to the LaGrange County Jail, Boggs allegedly resisted, battered, and spit on officers. Upon arrival at the jail, he was charged with misdemeanor operating while intoxicated, misdemeanor resisting law enforcement, felony battery of a law enforcement officer, and felony battery by bodily fluid.
