Accident injures two, one of the drivers arrested

On June 4, a 1999 Chevy Malibu driven by Jordan Lounsbury, 22, of Angola drove through a stop sign at the intersection of CR 475E and CR 600N. It collided with a northbound 2008 Dodge Caravan driven by Angela Moore, 41, of CR 750N.

The impact pushed Moore’s vehicle 200 ft. and caused it to roll over and come to rest on its roof. Moore and her 14-year-old daughter, who was a passenger in the vehicle, were transported to Parkview LaGrange Hospital for head and neck pain.

Lounsbury was transported to Parkview LaGrange Hospital for blood and urine tests for intoxication due to the possible presence of controlled substances. He was charged with Operating While Intoxicated (Controlled Substance) Endangering Another Person, Operating While Never Licensed, and False Informing. He was also issued several citations for additional traffic violations.

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the LaGrange Police Department.
