Somewhere out there is a Powerball ticket worth $1 million that was sold in LaGrange County.
Lottery officials reported Thursday that a $1 million winning ticket for this week’s near-record Powerball lottery was purchased at the travel plaza on the Indiana Toll Road near Howe. The ticket matched the first five numbers in the Aug. 15 Powerball drawing, but did not match the Powerball number.
Two million-dollar Powerball tickets were sold in Indiana, with the other winning ticket purchased in Brownstown. No winners’ names have been released by lottery officials.
The Aug. 15 winning Powerball numbers were: 6-27-46-51-56 PB: 21.
