The Indiana Attorney General’s Office is partnering with the Hoosier State Press Association (HSPA) and Indiana Broadcaster’s Association (IBA) to help disseminate information about potential frauds and scams to Hoosiers. The first step in this effort is to help your viewers and readers know how to receive consumer fraud alerts from the Office. Attorney General Zoeller launched the Fraud Alert Program last September to expand the educational outreach of the Consumer Protection Division with the mission to better equip citizens with tools to help them avoid falling victim to scams.
The Fraud Alert Program notifies subscribers by email or text about potentially threatening frauds and scams. This will link to the Fraud Alert Program landing page on the Attorney General’s Website where you can sign up for notifications.
